Evidence Collection Services

Programs that provide support for civil litigation or criminal prosecutions or defenses by gathering and analyzing pretrial evidence and, upon request, presenting their findings during court hearings. Evidence collection services may be provided by law enforcement offices as a routine part of crime investigations or by crime laboratory technicians who have expertise in this area at the request of law enforcement officials, prosecutors, insurance companies, corporations or individuals involved in criminal or civil actions.
