Definition
Programs that provide facilities with programmed or autoinstructional materials and the equipment that is required for their display for use by students who are pursuing a course of independent study. Students progress at their own rate using workbooks, textbooks or computers that provide information in discrete steps, test learning at each step and provide immediate feedback about achievement.
