Definition
Eating establishments that specialize in meals which are nutritious and healthfully prepared. Dishes are typically high in fiber and low in fat, salt and sugar; contain few or no preservatives, artificial flavorings, colorings or other chemical additives; and feature whole grains, organically grown fresh fruits and vegetables and natural sweeteners such as honey. Vegetables are usually steamed rather than boiled and meat dishes are made with graze-fed cattle and range chickens.
