Eating establishments that specialize in dishes that are made without meat, poultry, game fish, shellfish or crustacea and slaughter by-products. Varieties of vegetarian food include vegan food (only foods of plant origin), pescatarian food (plant foods plus fish), lacto-vegetarian food (plant foods plus some or all dairy products) and lacto-ovo-vegetarian food (plant foods, dairy products and eggs). Vegetarian menus feature dishes that include grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits with or without the use of dairy products and eggs.
