Definition
Programs that help nonprofit organizations, small businesses and other groups develop a communications image that accurately reflects their organizational persona for use in all correspondence, literature, products and web-based materials. Branding establishes an identity for the organization, its products, services and events that makes them immediately recognizable by customers, constituents, members, the media and the general public and distinguishes them from the competition. Services may include strategic message development, logo design, tagline development, product and service packaging concepts, and copywriting. Logos are symbols or pictures, often based on a brand or trademark, that are used by the company to help consumers identify and remember products. Tag lines are sentences or phrases that provide a creative description of an organization's position.
