Definition
Programs that help businesses, trade associations, professional associations, nonprofit organizations or other community groups that want to sponsor a local, state, regional, national or international conference, trade show or convention develop and implement a process for evaluating individual conference workshops and intensives, and the overall conference. Tasks include developing, printing and distributing workshop and conference evaluation forms; reminding attendees to complete the forms; collecting the forms; tabulating the results; and, following the conference, sharing individual evaluation results with speakers and integrating overall workshop suggestions and comments into plans for the following year's conference. Information gathered via this channel can be used in future years to revise the core curriculum, identify cutting edge issues and build an information bank of presenters whose workshops have been especially well-received by attendees.
