International Arts Development Programs

Programs that provide technical assistance, training and other forms of support that help other countries establish, fund and sustain an infrastructure that stimulates public interest in and promotes the knowledge, appreciation and practice of the arts. Included are organizations that seek to promote international awareness of a particular country's arts and culture and provide opportunities for artisans representative of those traditions; those that raise and distribute funds for the benefit of specific overseas arts institutions such as arts councils or museums; and those that are broadly dedicated to the development and support of global cultural interchange in the arts and to educating audiences and the public about the richness and diversity of the arts worldwide.
