A neurological disease affecting deer, elk, moose and other cervids that is characterized by loss of body conditioning, behavioral abnormalities, excessive salivation, increased drinking and urination, depression and eventual death. It is among a number of diseases classified as transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSE).
