Definition
A learning disability that may involve the physical act of writing or the mental activity of comprehending and synthesizing information and organizing thoughts on paper. It is characterized by strong verbal but poor writing skills, random punctuation and misspelled words, disordered numbering, illegible handwriting, a mixture of prints (cursive and print, upper and lower case letters), unfinished or omitted words, unusual grip on the writing instrument and slow or labored writing.
