Alternative Fuels/Additives

Programs that provide information and/or support regarding the development and utilization of advanced emissions control technologies and cleaner-burning fuels. Included are support for the development of vehicles including automobiles, trucks and buses which use non-oil-based fuels including electricity, compressed natural gas, ethanol or methanol; the development and utilization of alternative fuels in power stations, refineries, homes and other stationary sources of pollution; and the development of gasoline and/or oil additives which reduce emissions and which may improve mileage.
