Programs that conduct enzyme immunoassay (EIA) screening tests which examine fluid drawn from the gum lining in the mouth (oral mucosal transudate) using a special collection device to detect HIV antibody in individuals who have been infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Repeatedly reactive EIA tests are confirmed using the Western blot.
