Energy Healing

Programs that utilize any of a number of techniques which are based on the premise that a human energy field surrounds the body which is balanced when the individual is healthy but out of balance in situations where there is disease. Practitioners detect the sources of blockage in the energy field by moving their hands over the individual's body or lightly touching the individual, and transfer energy to the recipient restoring balance and initiating healing. Included are therapies variously known as healing touch, polarity therapy, Reiki and therapeutic touch.
