Programs provided in a health care setting (such as a hospital) by licensed health care practitioners (such as physicians, nurses, dietitians and/or psychologists) that offer services such as nutrition education, medical care, behavior change therapy and/or physical activity to help people lose weight. These programs may also use other weight loss methods including very low-calorie diets, prescription weight loss drugs or surgery to treat severely overweight patients.
