Orthoptics

Programs that are staffed by specialists who can prescribe a series of eye exercises for people who have problems with binocular vision as a result of defects in the optic musculature. The objectives of therapy are to promote good vision in both eyes, to straighten eyes that are crossed or otherwise misaligned and to attain fusion, i.e., the ability of the brain to fuse dual images from the two eyes and comprehend them as one.
