Programs that offer virtual programming for campers using platforms like Zoom, YouTube and Instagram that allow children of all ages to participate in a wide variety of activities from home. Virtual campers are able to choose from a list of sessions that represent a wide a range of interest areas including things like outdoor safety and survival, arts and crafts, cooking and baking skills, as well as role-playing, light-hearted secret agent training or a week-long Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Sessions may be tailored to different age ranges and are typically 30 minutes to an hour in length. Some level of supervision by a parent or guardian may be expected, especially for younger children. The programs help kids find community online and provide a respite for parents who may be juggling work and child care during the day.
