Definition
Organizations that sponsor or otherwise enable people to participate in competitive events in which dogs are posed or paraded and awards are given for the animals that best meet established criteria for excellence. Included are shows for all all breeds of dogs and specialty shows for a particular breed. Dogs are judged on the basis of their conformation and/or obedience.
