Mask Making Instruction

Programs that provide classes, individual lessons or other opportunities for people who want to learn or perfect their skills in designing and creating a wide variety of masks using stone, bone, wood, clay, metal, paper, latex, cardboard, paper mache, leather or other materials. Instruction may provide an overview of masks and the general art of mask making; may explore mask making as a means of inner exploration; or may focus on theatrical masks, Halloween masks, carnival masks, masks associated with the traditions of different cultures or other specific types of masks, and the materials and techniques associated with each.
