Organizations that advocate for changes in the regulations governing the arraignment, trial, sentencing and confinement of individuals who commit offenses while under a statutorily defined age limit with the objective of controlling juvenile crime while preserving the rights of juvenile offenders. Issues include trying violent juvenile offenders as adults, tougher sentencing, parental accountability, increased access to juvenile records, and open court proceedings.
