Child Passenger Safety Seat Recycling Programs

Recycling programs that accept infant car seats whose expiration dates have passed, then break the seats into parts and recycle the metal and plastic components separately. Some centers may instruct donors to remove the seat's cover and harness first to facilitate the recycling process. Included are general recycling programs that accept used car seats as well as programs that are dedicated to the disposal of car seats (which are rare).
