Definition
Public swimming pools, local spray grounds or other similar facilities whose normal hours of operation have been extended to meet the needs of the public during dangerously hot weather. Some facilities waive or reduce their admission fees during heat emergencies; and scheduled closings for maintenance are generally suspended.
