Competitions, typically for children, which feature barrel races, pole bending contests (weaving in and out of a series of poles), flag races, keyhole races (running a horse into a keyhole shaped chalk mark, turning and running back without stepping outside the boundaries of the keyhole), walking races, trotting races, sprint races and other timed events on horseback. Included are organizations that sponsor, organize, hold, promote, sell tickets to and publicize the events; provide information about competition schedules; and/or maintain information about current standings.
