Sporting events that feature matches among professional wrestlers who are affiliated with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) or other professional wrestling promoters. Wrestling matches are sports entertainment events in which the persona of the wrestler and dramatized feuds and alliances with other competitors are as important as the wrestling moves. Included are organizations that sponsor, organize, hold, promote, sell tickets to and publicize the events; provide information about event schedules; and/or maintain information about current standings.
