Definition
Programs that help nonprofit organizations and other groups develop a planned giving program that seeks to acquire gifts through wills, bequests and trusts. The program may help the organization evaluate the advisability of developing a planned giving program, understand taxation requirements, develop policies and procedures for administering the program, select the planned-gift instruments to be offered, determine the type of assets to accept, develop a marketing and donor relations plan, and launch the planned giving program.
