Programs that help nonprofit boards develop written policies and procedures regarding how the board will function internally e.g., requirements for board membership and term length; expectations of board members including attendance, participation in fundraising activities, committee service, service activities and conflict of interest; how meetings will be conducted; what topics will be addressed; the role of officers and committees; and how the board will discipline itself.
