Definition
Programs that help nonprofit organizations, small businesses and other groups make an assessment of their hardware needs and select and purchase one or more servers to manage their network resources. Servers are dedicated computers that can manage network traffic, control access to voice mail and electronic mail, manage facsimiles, control print requests, store data, process queries and handle other specialized tasks. Included are network servers, fax servers, file servers, print servers, database servers and a host of other options.
