Programs that help nonprofit organizations, small businesses and other groups register their websites with major Web search engines (e.g., AltaVista, Google, Excite, Lycos, WebCrawler), Web directories such as Yahoo and www "What's New" locations; optimize their site to attract traffic; employ effective techniques to ensure that it retains a high position in search engine rankings; design and launch effective banner campaigns; and acquire and implement tools to analyze Web traffic (e.g., the number of visits the site is receiving, where the traffic is coming from, and the keywords that were used to find the site) with the objective of fine tuning promotional strategies.
