Definition
Programs that help nonprofit organizations, small businesses and other groups develop and package materials which provide background information about the organization and its programs and services which can be distributed to reporters prior to or at an event for which the organization is seeking media coverage. Media kits are a collection of an organization's collateral information materials (e.g., brochures, flyers or other descriptive literature) together with its recent press materials (magazine/newspaper articles) and a news release which describes the event itself.
