Interstitial Cystitis

A severe form of cystitis affecting the bladder wall that is characterized by severe urinary urgency and frequency, excessive urination during the night and, in most cases, pain associated with the bladder filling. No long-term management is available and the symptoms leave affected individuals significantly disabled.
