Definition
A disorder that is characterized by misuse of amyl nitrite which can cause clinically significant health problems such as cardiac arrhythmia, cardiac arrest and other cardiovascular disorders. The drug is used medicinally as a vasodilator to relieve the pain of angina, and illicitly for its purported intensification of sexual response during orgasm.
