Canine Obedience Certification Programs

Programs that test and issue certificates to dogs who demonstrate that they can be trusted to remain in control while in public under a specific set of circumstances. Dogs must be accepting of friendly strangers, sit politely rather than jump up while being petted, welcome brushing and other grooming, be under control on a loose leash, walk politely through a crowd, obey basic commands, come when called, behave appropriately around other dogs, remain under control when faced with loud noises or unfamiliar objects, and remain calm when left with a trustworthy stranger.
