Tailgating Permits

Programs that issue permits that authorize the use of parking facilities or other venues for parties before and/or after athletic events, concerts or other happenings during which alcohol (generally beer and wine) may be consumed. Some tailgating facilities are vehicle-free. There are generally regulations regarding tenting, the use of charcoal grills or portable generators, the type of furniture that is permitted, catering and other issues.
