Definition
A symptom complex that is caused by conditions in which nerves or vessels are compressed in the neck or the armpit which may be the result of the first rib pressing on the clavicle or compression by the cervical rib. It is characterized by pain in the arms and shoulders, a pins and needles sensation in the fingers and weakness of grip and other hand movements.
