Vaginitis

An inflammation of the sheath of the vagina whose symptoms include vaginal discharge that may be malodorous and occasionally is stained with blood, irritation and itching of the vulvae and perineum, increased frequency of urination, and smarting pain on the passage of urine. The vaginal mucous membrane is reddened and there may be superficial ulceration.
