Description:

Offers affordable, transitional housing program for domestic violence survivors with dependent children to assist in their path toward independence and self-sufficiency. The Kathleen Robinson Huntsman housing at YWCA Utah includes two- and three-bedroom apartments, continued case management and children’s services for residents.

Eligibility:
Eligibility prioritizes women who have experienced intimate partner violence within the last year. Available to others who qualify under the federal definition of homeless, and are eligible for the services through the Housing Authority.

Description:

Volunteers needed as donation organizers. Tasks include receiving, distributing, sorting and organizing clothing, toys, hygiene and all donations to the YWCA.

Description:

Licensed emergency shelter helps survivors and their families by providing case management, children’s services, housing coordination, job-skill training, and mental health referrals. Each person living in shelter receives a home-cooked meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition to providing immediate safety, the shelter provides ongoing support for survivors that extends beyond their time living on campus. Pets are welcome.
