Mentoring Services Volunteer Opportunities
Eligibility
Community-Based, mentor must be 18 and older, commit to 12 months, spending on average 6 hours per month. Site-Based required an hour on a specified day of the week, weekly for the academic year, and happens at a set location. Mentor 2.0 Technology Enhanced Mentoring: Must be age 21 and older with a longer commitment, have Internet access for weekly communication, available in person every 4 - 6 week, and have a college degree.

Service Description
Complete online orientation. Agency will email applicant with a complete list of next steps to becoming a 'Big Brother'. This includes getting a background check, fingerprints, setting up an interview, and providing references, etc.

Description
Community-Based matches adults with under-resourced kids from the community that meet two to four times a month. A minimum commitment of 1 year is required. Site-Based is a weekly program that takes place during the school year, after school, for one hour, helping students with schoolwork, games, or planned activities. Mentor 2.0 is a program focused on supporting high school students in college preparation or career. Mentors generally make a longer commitment and have a college degree.
