Eligibility
Households that make 200% or less of the federal poverty level are eligible for services. If qualifying under HEAT Program guidelines, you can receive a 20% reduction on earned income/wages. If qualifying under the guidelines above, income is based on gross monthly income without any deductions. Owners, as well as tenants, may qualify.

Description
Weatherization helps low-income individuals and families reduce energy costs and increase comfort and safety in their homes. Weatherization improvements may include wall, floor, ceiling, and duct insulation; windows, caulking, door repair or replacement, weather-stripping, furnace tune-ups and repairs, carbon monoxide testing, and water heaters. The process generally takes 8-18 months. Priority is given to families with disabled, elderly, and preschool age children. A Crisis Weatherization program is also available for people experiencing crisis as a result of broken furnaces or water heaters. Call for more information about how to apply.
