Description

Combination preschool program is designed to help you make the most of the home and school environment. Parents work directly with a Family Educator to develop, prepare, and execute lesson plans during home visits twice a month. Your child will also have the opportunity to participate in a classroom setting with children his/her own age two days a week. This allows your child to build social skills and become comfortable in a school environment. In the Early Head Start Home-Based program, a home visitor provides weekly 1 1/2 hr visits to prenatal moms and families with children 0-3. EHS families attend a socialization group twice a month. Positive, nurturing parent-child interactions are the focus of all services and activities. Through education and planning with parents, EHS addresses all aspects of parenting and child development including: health, nutrition, safety, movement and music, social and emotional development and the importance of the relationship between parent and child.
