Individuals who harvest acres of forests each year for the timber that provides the raw material for consumer and industrial products. The timber cutting and logging process is carried out by a variety of workers who make up a logging crew. Tasks include cutting down the trees, topping the trees, cutting the trees into logs of specified lengths, affixing cables and dragging the logs to a site for sorting, grading the logs and loading the logs onto vehicles for removal.
