Definition
Organizations that operate centers which serve as collection points for the aluminum, plastic and glass beverage containers which bear the state redemption seal and which can be exchanged for the paid deposits. Some programs provide special recycling bins which they retrieve and empty on a scheduled basis. If offered by a nonprofit recycling service, the redemption fee is usually kept as a charitable donation.
