Programs that provide organized opportunities for people to pursue their interest in writing (mysteries, science fiction, westerns, romances, journalistic reporting and other areas), often through the medium of a club or society that brings writers in a particular area together to discuss their work and support one another professionally. Included are Internet-based virtual clubs, WebRings devoted to the subject and clubs where members meet face-to-face.
