Definition
Individuals who have been purposely and repeatedly followed or harassed by another person, or who have been victims of a credible threat that is intended to annoy, cause emotional distress or cause fear of death or personal injury. Included are victims of textual harassment, i.e., individuals who are receiving harassing text messages on their cell phone; and individuals who are being stalked by someone who is using e-mail, chat rooms, bulletin boards or other electronic communication devices as a means of harassment (cyberstalking).
