Members of the renewal movement within Protestant Christianity that places special emphasis on the experience of adult baptism as a central rite, the literal interpretation of the scripture and a direct personal experience of God through baptism with the Holy Spirit as evidenced by speaking in tongues (glossolalia) and other spiritual gifts such as divine healing and the ability to prophesy.
