Minority Blood Donor Education and Recruitment

Programs that conduct special outreach to educate the community regarding the importance of minority blood donations and encourage minorities to volunteer. Some very rare but much-needed blood types are found almost exclusively in minority populations and are needed to treat specific conditions such as sickle cell anemia which require frequent transfusions.
