Definition
Individuals who play parts in stage, television, radio, video or motion picture productions for entertainment, information or instruction. They also work in cabarets, nightclubs, theme parks and commercials, and in industrial films produced for training and educational purposes. Actors interpret serious or comic roles by speech, gesture and body movement to entertain or inform their audience; may sing and dance as required by their role; and may appear in starring or supporting roles, make brief, cameo appearances, or work as "extras" with no lines to deliver.
