Programs that provide advice or access to necessary forms for individuals who do not wish to receive unsolicited offers of credit through a practice known as "prescreening". The credit bureaus must honor requests for removal from credit card and insurance company marketing lists in accordance with privacy amendments to the U.S. Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, enforced in the United States by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
