Osteomyelitis

An inflammation of the bone, especially the bone marrow, that is caused by a pathogenic organism. Symptoms include pain in the affected part, sweating, an increase in the number of white blood cells, rigidity of the overlying muscles, inflammation of the skin and pain when there is pressure on the affected part.
