Contact Tracing Scam Reporting

Programs that provide a hotline, website or other mechanisms that people can use to report incidents where scammers posing as COVID-19 contact tracers have attempted to obtain money or personal identifying information from their victims through phone calls or emails. Legitimate contact tracers track down people who have been exposed to the coronavirus and encourage them to isolate themselves and monitor their symptoms, and the process does not involve money or sensitive information such as Social Security, bank account, or credit card numbers.
