Definition
Individuals who willfully abuse or intimidate an elderly relative or other older person in their care. Abuse or intimidation may be financial, emotional, physical, or sexual including unreasonable physical constraint or prolonged deprivation of food and water. Elder abusers are often live-in caregivers or the children or grandchildren of victims.
