Definition
Programs, often offered by local synchronized swimming clubs, that provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy synchronized swimming, a water sport in which swimmers perform choreographed maneuvers synchronized to music. Included are programs for novices who are interested in recreational swimming and for serious swimmers who want develop the skills necessary to compete. The program may provide instruction in synchronized swimming and may sponsor or make arrangements for swimmers to participate in synchronized swimming competitions.
