Urban Plazas

Programs that develop, maintain and make available to the public, open areas located near urban buildings where people can congregate to eat lunch, stroll, socialize or sit and watch the world go by. Urban plazas often feature walkways, trees and shrubs, sculptures and other public art, fountains or other water features, places to sit and sometimes shops. They promote social gathering, interaction and comfort while inviting a diversity of users and activities.
